Chris Higgins Memorial Game and Overtime Period Afterparty

Join us on Saturday, August 8, 2026, as we honor Lt. Chris Higgins with a day of family, hockey, remembrance, and support for the firefighters who served beside him.

The day begins at Piney Orchard Ice Arena, 8781 Piney Orchard Parkway in Odenton, with a free family skate at 3:30 PM followed by the MCFR Hooligans vs. AAFD Pickheads hockey game at 4:50 PM.

After the game, everyone is invited to continue the night at Chris Higgins’ Memorial “Overtime Period” Afterparty at Molloy’s Irish Pub, 1053 MD-3 in Gambrills, from 7 PM to close, featuring live music, raffle items, Maryland Firefighters 50/50 tickets, and the Great 8 Memorial Raffle for a custom-framed, hand-signed Alexander Ovechkin Washington Post cover honoring his record-breaking goal.

Funds raised will help send Chris’ shiftmates from 15/A to Colorado Springs for the 2026 IAFF Fallen Fire Fighter Memorial Service. Raffle tickets are available at aaemerald.com/raffle.
